Laughed out loud at this one--Maybe one of Rita Skeeter's better moments, quoting "Enid Smeek's slightly earthier phrase" in _The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore_:

"She's nutty as squirrel poo" (355, US).

"So it all comes down to this doesn't it?" whispered Harry. "Does the wand in you hand know its last master was Disarmed?..."

Is it just me or was he maybe channelling a bit of Dirty Harry here?

Re: Favorite Quotes from DEATHLY HALLOWS

McGonagall to Snape: "COWARD!"

and later about Snape: "He has, to use the common phrase, done a bunk."

Personally, I can't wait for the opportunity to see Maggie Smith pull off these scenes. It will be brilliant.

Re: Favorite Quotes from DEATHLY HALLOWS

"'No', said Snape, his black eyes on Fleur's and Roger's retreating figures. 'I am not such a coward.'
'No,' agreed Dumbledore. 'You are a far braver man by far than Igor Karkaroff. You know, I sometimes think we Sort too soon...'
He walked away, leaving Snape looking stricken..."

"'Tell me one thing,' said Harry. 'Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?'
Dumbledore beamed at him, and his voice sounded loud and strong in Harry's ears even though the bright mist was descending again, obscuring his figure.
'Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?'"

Re: Favorite Quotes from DEATHLY HALLOWS

Harry: "You still don't get it, Riddle, do you?"

What a summary of Voldemort's character. He never did "get it". He was always so self-absorbed that he was in fact a bit of an idiot when it came to the important things. Or, as Ron would say, he was just a "complete git".

Re: Favorite Quotes from DEATHLY HALLOWS

RAPIER SAYS: "So people, let's try and calm down a bit. Things are bad enough without inventing stuff as well. For instance, this new idea that You-Know-Who can kill with a single glance from his eyes. That's a BASILISK, listeners. One simple test: Check whether the thing that's glaring at you has got legs. If it has, it's safe to look into its eyes, although if it really is You-Know-Who, that's still likely to be the last thing you ever do."

I think my favorite quote is becoming Snape saying " Look...at...me".

No ending can be right, because it shouldn't be over at all. The magic is not supposed to go away. Stephen King on Deathly Hallows

"Fight!Fight! Fight for my master, defender of House Elves! Fight the Dark Lord, in the name of brave Regulus! Fight!"

Only way that little scene could've been better is if Dobby were running right alongside Kreacher leading the charge *tear*

Believe it or not, the ONLY part of HPDH that made me cry was the part with Dobby. I think I've fallen in love with him!
