I would think that like us, the people running the website are just guessing. Somebody came up with something the thought was funny and decided to post it on the web. I would also think that killing off Harry would not stop others from writing about him. Someone could always write a book from another characters point of view or that character themselves. Could you imagine, "Draco Malfoy". He could be "brought back" some how or they could say he faked his own death for the better good or something. But then again maybe I am just trying to tell myself those things because I am scared he is going to die.
