ExpectoPatronumDB wrote:This movie was very good. But alot of things bothered me that they changed
Luna Lovegood did not find harry on the train.
The auror that marries Remus did.
Dumbledore said that the ring belonged to Voldemorts mother when it actually
belonged to his grandfather.
Students in harry's year do not know how to do spells without saying them but harry, draco and even Ginny did them. Harry and Hermione also did some in the 5th movie during the Dapartment of Mysteries seen.
Hermione confunded the keeper without a wand also dumbledore lit Tom Riddles Closet on fire without a wand, when it clearly says in the book that he pulled it out and did it.
Book six sets up the horocruxes very well, but with the information Harry was given in the movie is cetaintly not substantial. Dumbledore was suppose to tell him voldemort probably made the horocruxes from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff houses items.
There was suppose to be a huge battle at the end, Harry gives hermione, ginny and ron the rest of his felix potion in the book. That part was important.
one more...
They should have delveloped more of hermione's search of the half-blood prince, it was kinda random if you never read the book. Snape kinda tells hrry out of no where he's the half blood prince in the movie
Welcome, Expecto! I noticed this was your first post. Thanks for your detailed analysis.

But when it comes to watch Harry Potter Movie, somewhere in review it is said that the Movie has lot of Overacting so while reading you can skip that.
Whoa--beam--could you explain that "D-Box Motion Technology" thing a bit more? That sounds pretty cool.

I forgot about that, yeah, that would have been great to have in there- ah well, I guess they had to fit the Weasley house fire in the movie, so no room for that.
blinkgirl89 wrote:another thing that they should have left in the movie was when Harry tells Snape that there is no need to call him "sir".
i love that part.
but now that i think about it, there weren't any DADA lessons in the movie. Right?

>_< Dudley is attacked in the Order of the Pheonix, not the Half Blood Prince.
Annd it does show him being attacked and his trial..
I agree about the memories!
I can't believe they didn't show the Guants story! I wanted to see Voldemorts mother!
Also the D.A deffs should've fought!! And Dumbledores funeral was significant to the book.. its where Harry tells Ginny its over and why...
Ahh they totally f**ked up the horcuxes!
And Bill and Fluer should've been in there.. Also the Dursleys should be in there too.. i hope they're in the Deathly Hallows =p Where Dudley says he dnt think Harry's a waste of space! Hahaha nawww so sweet

Well who says we need their version. Daniel Radcliffe still looks young, we could write our own B&N screen play for a 30 hour long OOTP, 20 hour long HBP and a 40 hour long Deathly Hallows and then film our own. Come on I know you guys are up to it! There will be NO burning down of the Weasley House and House Elves will get a larger part, more snogging... : ) Daniel will be what, 45 by the time we're finished, but with makeup and cgi anything is possible.

I think the director added the fight at the Burrow to make up for the lack of the epic battle between the Order & Death Eaters in the end. But since the Burrow was burned down, what's going to happen in the Deathly Hallows ? The first couple of chapters take place there...
I suppose someone could wave a wand and put it back together again, or maybe Harry will stay at the Tonkses home... or maybe he and the Weasleys will go to Aunt Muriel's.

I agree, I didnt like either of the younger Tom riddles. I didnt really like the actress for Umbridge either, they seemed to select actors in the earlier movies that fit the descriptions in the books better in my opinion.

From the way JKR described Unbrige, I was hioping they would do a CGI for her part. LoL

Mmm I agree, they picked great actors in the earlier movie (funny though, that Daniel Radcliffe ended up being so short =p)
Umbridge wasn't done as well as she could've been, but I disliked her, which was a good thing as you're not sposed to like her
I do wish she'd looked more like a toad xD
=( They need more of the house-elfs, I loved Winky, Dobby and Kreacher's role.
And they play a big part it the lead up to Ron and Hermione snogging!!
I hope they have Dobby's death in there, very sad, but very good peice of writing =)
