Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Part 1 on DVD!

Hey guys!

Thought you would want to know that DH Part 1 is coming out on April 15!!!

I think it's kind of weird that their doing the two movies separately, but oh well.  I thought about just waiting for the second one to come out and just get both at once.  That changed, however, after I read that one of the special features in Part 1 was a preview of the opening of the second one!  Now... I don't know what I'll do...

Well, that makes more sense now.  I was wondering why on earth sobbydobby would have to worry about tax day :smileyvery-happy:!

Re: Part 1 on DVD!

Me too.

Frankly, it think the "Part 2 Preview" is just a ploy to get folks to buy Part 1.  My intention is to wait until part 2 is out and then buy.  If they do a big re-release of all the films, with added stuff from the earlier films, I'd prob get that -- going to have to replace the old casettes sometime.

Re: Part 1 on DVD!

Isn't part 2 suppose to be in 3D? I was hoping they might re-release part 1 in 3D when part 2 comes out. But that is one reason for the two movies. I don't think the 3D part was done for the release date they wanted. Plus that is a very long book that takes 2 movies to tell.

Re: Part 1 on DVD!

Do you think there will be some kind of "whole DVD series on blu-ray collectors set" or something? I know they did a collectors edition for the books, that came in a chest... I'd probably spring for a DVD version even though I own all of the other DVDs... half regular DVD, half blu-ray after that was introduced.
