Welcome Booklover! I'm glad to hear you liked DH. A lot of people here had opinions pro and con about parts of the book especially, but most seemed to think that the author ended her series satisfactorily.

My opinion about Ron is that he became really strong and helped Harry a lot. He destroyed a Horcruxes with Harry. Ron also spoke parseltongue to open the Chamber of Secrets so Ron and Hermonie could destroy another Horcruxes. Neville became really strong and he was the leader of Dumbledore Army. Harry, Ron, and Hermonie were sent by Dumbledore to destroy the Horcruxes when he died. Harry found out that the Deathly Hallows were real which were a death wand, invisibility cloak, and resurrection stone. Harry had invisibility cloak and finds the resurrection stone. The theme was really sad because it was mostly about people dieing. I couldn't believe at all some of the characters that died I never thought they would die. I recommend people who haven't read this book should read this book. You will be surprised of what happens. Everytime I was getting to the end I wanted to read more believe me it's a really good book.

God love ya for the effort, but yer preachin' to the choir here. I think everyone here really enjoyed the series, but loved DH.
I very much agree with the Ron info. His character really took on some weightier stuff this time around. Gotta love the Ronald.

I think that's the beauty of the whole series! For those of us who have read it all the way through, but done so with the wait that came between the publication of each book, it was more evident that all of the main characters changed and developed in a very realistic way! I think that's one of JKR's most obvious and awe-inspiring talents! Each of her characters has grown, has changed within the series! And we, as fans, have grown with them!
As for Ron, we've been waiting for him to come to his own since the first book! Yea!!! It was really moving to see him, especially, "grow up."
I'm glad all of you see it the same way.

For us, the greatest change came from Neville. He really had a challenge the whole last year--one we only get a glimpse of. This toughens him and turns him into the hero he is. And when he stands in front of Voldemort and challenges him--risking instant death, BTW, we were cheering!! Of course, when the sorting hat delivers the sword to him and he uses it to kill Nagini!!!! Bec shouted, "I knew it!!" Each of the significant characters had a hand in destroying Horcruxes, so why not Neville?
I say ye, "Yeah, Neville Longbottom!"
