Does anybody have anybody have any news on the eBooks of HARRY POTTER? If not, could you direct me to good (non-torrent) web sites where I can get them?

JKR has said that she is considering what would be the best way of putting the saga into Ebooks, but nothing final. Believe me, when they go E-Book, the Wizarding and Muggle worlds will both hear about it!
That right, Psychee?
Welcome to the boards tob2007.

That's right, Jules! tob2007, you will unfortunately have to wait awhile as they have not yet been published in e-format. But, welcome to the board!

I have been dying to get the ebooks, however I have found that getting the audiobook version from the libraries are great.

I got a twitter text from the leaky cauldron a few weeks ago saying that Jk Rowling was in discussions to get them processed for E-Books! Yay!! I was utterly devastated when I got my Nook Color and realized they were not available..Thats okay, I've waited for everything Harry Potter so I can wait a little longer I suppose ![]()

I just don't understand what the massive charm is about E-Books. What is so appealing about them? Can someone explain why they are so attractive?

It really is a function of volume for many people I've talked to. Let's just use Harry Potter as an example since we are in that section of the forums.
My wife has all 7 Harry Potter books and is a fast reader. She could finish them all on a single vacation. Taking them all, even in paperback, i significantly larger than an ereader.
That, I think, is the big advantage of an ebook and ereader combination.

At first I was really unimpressed and did not want anything to do with electronic books thinking they were impersonable and that I would miss the feeling of my books. I got the Nook Color as a gift and I love IT!! I can download books anywhere wifi is available so for the most part I never have to worry about running out of books if I'm on a trip. Also when I used to travel I had to have a bag just for books and now I don't. I still take my HP books since they are not available yet but other than that everything I need is on my Nook. Its great also because it has it's own light, if you don't know a word you can press it and it will give you the dictionary term for it and how to say it. If you like a phrase you can book mark it and send it facebook or to your friends if you'd like.
There are tons of free books or .99 cent books and you can trade and lend them out to friends if you can't afford a new book.
The newest update has apps so that you can play games or you can use word on it. It has pandora or if you'd like to listen to your own music you can put it on your micro sd card and insert it in the Nook.
