What class would be your favorite at Hogwarts? Why?

Potions. I am one of the "select few " who has the patience to bottle fame, brew glory, and stopper death. If you actually behave, you can learn a lot from Snape. And DADA, of course.

Potions or Care of Magical Creatures.

I like cooking, and I am kind of a perfectionist so potions would be fun. And, who doesn't want to ride a hippogriff ha.

Transfiguration would definitely be my first choice. There is no question that I would use that knowledge to be an animagus. =P Charms, DADA, and Ancient Runes are all kind of tied for second place. As everyone has already stated, there are so many practical things to be learned in Charms and DADA. My interest in Ancient Runes stems from my background in anthropology and history.

Probably Defense Against the Dark Arts, but you've all come up with such great reasons for your choices that I can see choosing any of them!

Can't you just picture the look on the face of some thug as he tries the magical equivalent of pushing you down into a mud puddle, and ends up flat on his face in a pile of, say, brontosaurus dung?
