Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: What's Your Patronus?

Mine would be a bottle nosed dolphin. What would the memory that generates your patronus (if it's not too personal?)

Aw. I like the hummingbird idea, tigerlilly. We don't think of them as powerful, but I'm sure their size and speed would be very useful in some tricky situations of some kind!

Good question, Auror!

Oooh. An eagle would look nice in a movie as a patronus, too, wouldn't it. Nice!

Re: What's Your Patronus?

My patronus would be the hummingbird. Hummingbirds are small, fast (quick witted), determined, capable of looking at the past, and savoring the present, not afraid to move into the future. They symbolize eternity due to their unusual wing pattern.

My patronus would be a lion. strong and powerful, yet somewhat graceful.

My patronus would be a wolf. A wolf is a smart, sly, brave and open minded creature like me.

mine would be a gorilla because those things can be scary and they'd be great protection, plus they're pretty cool. and the memory that would genertate my patronus would be the times i've had with my best friend and family. I think I'd have a l strong patrunos because I have a lot of good memories.

Re: What's Your Patronus?

i would hope that my patronus would be a tiger but I would also think that a butterfly patronus would be really  pretty and i dont think i saw one in the movie so it would be unique.  Can you imagine what you would do if your patronus was a snake?  I dont think i would do patronuses very much lol.

Re: What's Your Patronus?

ill bet voldemorts patronus was a snake... almost no doubt... i just thought, i bet Draco's was a ferret! like in the fourth movie when moody turned malfoy into one, if Draco could, i bet his patronus would look just like that!
