Re: if you could only have one HP book with you for awhile, what would you pick?

I have all the Harry Potter's on audio book. They're fantabulous. Jim Dale does all the voices. If you go on eBay you can usually get them pretty cheap. I got the first two as a set for around $25 with shipping and handling.

I would definitely pick Prisoner of Azkiban. I love the characters of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. I get pleasure out of reading it everytime. If not then I would be torn between that one and HBP. It is the most amazing one she wrote. The richness of the characters and the developments. Great plot and the different back stories. Thats a tough question.

I love prisoner of Azkaban too! Imagine how frustrated I was when I got to the part that Sirius had to leave. That’s why I hate snape even though he had been courageous etc… if it wasn’t for him, Sirius woulda been a free man..

Ok; just to clarify--there's a difference between having the audio books loaded on your iPod and an e-book. An e-book is a digitized version of the printed copy, one that you could read on your computer--that is, read, not listen to. There are audio books, yes; but not e-books, so far as I know.

Connie, I think there might be free .pdf files of all the books on the internet, none of which are legal...

Good luck Phrodo, if you can, check in with us every now and then and let us know if the HP series is popular in the Ukraine!

For me, I'd take OOTP-I know it's the bulkiest of the books as far as packing goes, but for me, it's the most "packed" book-emotional ups and downs, action, a love angle, lots of suspense.

I'm about to move to Ukraine for Peace Corps, and will only have space to pack a few books. I've decided to only take one HP book to make room for other stuff. The hard part is, which one would you pick and why?

I'm leaning towards HBP, but open to suggestions.

That is a very hard question to answer. I think I'd pick HBP or DH, I guess if I could only take one I'd flip for it. On the practical side the first three books are slimmer than the others so you could possibly take all three. :smileyhappy: I am always looking for ways to fit more into a suitcase!
p.s.-Good luck on your trip I wish you the best!

Why can't you simply have the books mailed to you after you get there.
