Maria - I use to need an HEA at the end of the book, but authors like Ann Aguirre have changed all that. Not only do I love 'don't go down the stairs' scenarios in my books; I've finally accepted the trend where the hero(es) and heroine tell their story over several books and the HEA becomes :HEA For Now; with more to come.

I saw Ann at RT  -- she's so nice! I'm hearing great things about this book!

Becke - I think you'll enjoy this one.

Marisa - There are several books with a delayed HEA that I've enjoyed.  Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampire series is one of them - it also happens to have a love triangle.  Seems to be a popular theme these days.

I think the non-HEA can be controversial for some readers who enjoy the traditional romance format. I personally enjoy when a love story is stretched over several books, if the stories and writing are terrific. The love triangle lends itself well to this kind of series format, I think.

This one sounds very good, Maria. I love the notion of a town that nobody knows about.
