Highlander Aedan MacKinnon has been trapped by the Unseelie King’s dark kingdom for five hundred years. Tortured and damned in this icy world he has finally lost all sense of humanity and become the King’s dispatcher of death - he has become Vengeance.
Aspiring romance novelist Jane Sillee has spent much of her life having dreams of Aedan and through her dreams they have shared laughter, life and love. Every night she meets him in her dreams but every waking minute she lives without him. When she is transported back to the 15th Century she finally meets him in the flesh. After five hundred centuries of torture Aedan has no memory of himself as a human or of his own dreams of Jane. Instead he has become the cold and unemotional Vengeance carrying out the Unseelie Kings orders. Of course Jane, a heroine with a love of the past, a wicked sense of humor and lots of hope is not about to give up on the man she’s been dreaming about for years.
I loved this idea – getting to know your soul mate in the world of dreams before ever laying eyes on them in the waking hours. It could explain great romances like Burton and Taylor, Wallace and Simpson or even Bradgelina. Meeting someone for the first time and absolutely knowing you were meant to be together is a powerful thing. Into the Dreaming makes the most of that.
With exclusive bonus materials, Into the Dreaming is a beautifully packaged book. In addition to the novella it also contains a deleted scene from Kiss of the Highlander (Highlander Series #4) and a proposal for Ghost of a Chance- a book that was never published. It also has a sneak peek at the beautiful art work from her upcoming graphic novel Fever Moon (Graphic Novel). What was really impressive was the inclusion of her first draft of Dark Highlander (Highlander Series #5) and why she changed it to become the book that it is. If you are a Karen Marie Moning fan this would be a wonderful addition to your collection. If you haven’t read her Highlander or Fever series this would be a great introduction.
I'm curious - what is your favorite Karen Marie Moning book?

How can you ask which is favorite?! Which ever one I am reading! I do love the Highlanders! Grimm, Cin, and Adam-oh, that bad boy-are my favs! Love all of Karen writings, but the Highlanders and the Keltars are special in my heart. Such Alpha men! Like the Fever series too, but the Highlanders had my heart first....
