With snappy dialogue and interesting characters Simply Irresistible makes for a fun read. It takes two special characters to find resolution when they don’t see eye to eye, and that’s Ms. Gibson’s specialty. She can write characters that seem to have nothing in common and make them work for it. Make them dig deep to find the core of why they should be together. She does it with a contemporary flare and entertaining and humorous situations.
There is plenty of witty dialogue and a whole lot of sparring between the hero and heroine in See Jane Score. The second book in the Chinooks Hockey series is a great Cinderella story.
I fell in love with the heroine Jane, a smart sports reporter by day and a writer for a men's magazine detailing the scandalous adventures of "Honey Pie" by night. Jane’s alter ego looks and acts nothing like the “Plain Jane” she is in the real world.
Superstar hockey goalie Luc Martineau is sexy as sin and the kind of man women have fantasies about. When Jane, the reporter, is assigned to cover Luc’s team the last thing you expect is for these two opposites to end up together. Gibson has given us a hero who can see beyond a façade and a heroine whose personality is so winning its the sexiest thing about her. Go Jane!
