I've come around. There are just too many good book-loving opportunities to pass up: I'm talking amassing a stockpile of digital books, which is getting easier and easier to do.This past week I added some of my very favorite stories from some of my very favorite authors, and listed links for many of them at Romantic Reads. As much as I love my book tower, I can't carry them all with me everywhere I go. But my NOOK allows me to take Blossom Street with me. And Fool's Gold, California, too!
Her leading scoundrel, Van Gast, is the sort of swashbuckling anti-hero you expect to find in old movies. He lives for the score, the adrenaline that comes from being in a life-or-death spot, and the adventurous life of a sailor. Van Gast's world is full of disreputable characters, none more attractive than his female equal in all things: Josie, a lady as elusive as a butterfly. They are made for each other but live in a dangerous world full of criminals, thieves, and fantastical characters bound up in a magical bond of servitude. Yup. Magical. Pirates and mages. Pretty much the perfect novels.
Also at Romantic Reads this week: the ongoing discussion of what we're reading now, a growing network of lending friends, and, of course, my continued additions to my NOOK book assembly.
Until next week, happy reading, and happy collecting!
