This week at Romantic Reads, our celebration of Brenda Jackson continues with the reissuing of two novels in one beautiful package, Dreams of Forever.

Brenda Jackson has been chosen as the recipient of the Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award, to be handed out later this month when the Romance Writers of America convene for their annual convention. Brenda has earned this distinction through decades of hard work; she’s crafted characters that leave an indelible mark upon the romance landscape.

A good handful of these characters are Westmorelands, and here’s what Brenda Jackson has to say about them: “The Westmorelands are hard-working, honest, educated men who are loyal and dedicated to their country, their family and the women they choose as their mates.  They are also handsome-as-sin, fine African American brothers, with the various personalities you would find within a family.”

The Westmorelands count some women among them, though, and one of them, Casey is the star of  Seduction, Westmoreland Style, one of the stories contained in Dreams of Forever, and still available as an ebook.

 

Casey works with horses, and she’s not about to let cowboy McKinnon Quinn keep her from a good job without a good reason. Unfortunately for McKinnon, his “no women on the ranch” rules hardly qualifies. He’s been burned before and is trying to learn a lesson, but sometimes love wins out, and Westmorelands always get their way.
