Next month, we're featuring a trio of books, also all historicals, that re-invigorate genres we're all very familiar with. Eloisa James is going to discuss this at length in her upcoming Reading Romance column at the B&N Review. Don't miss it - it'll be live next week.
But here's a little taste for you of what books we'll be reading while March comes roaring in like a lion:
Now, I don't want to get all giddy on you, but this is Christina Dodd's first historical in four years! An adventure tale about a masked Robin Hood-esque figure and the lady's companion who captures his heart, this is the perfect read for Dodd fans. I can't wait to see what you all think of it! If, like me, you can't wait until next week for this, head on over to Christina's website for an excerpt.
Becke Davis was the first person to trumpet Erica Ridley's Too Wicked to Kiss to me, and so I'm thrilled that we'll be reading it in March. It's a gothic romance, and who can refuse that? There's murder, mayhem, and a psychic heroine who can't touch anybody without getting insight into what is either about to happen in the future or did happen in the past. Newcomer Erica Ridley is one to watch. For more about the book, visit her website.
Can't wait for March, huh?
I'll be back in a few weeks with more RR updates. In the meantime, I'm off to have a baby, make a dent in my TBR pile and plot how many books I can conceivably order without my mailman killing me. I'll be popping in periodically at RR to see what's happening while I'm buried in diapers and to read your thoughts on our March features, what you're reading now, and anything else romantic you're dying to talk about.
Until then, happy reading!
