There's no reason why you can't have your paranormal and read it too just because it's a day of romance. My Zombie Valentine is a collection of beyond-the-grave love stories from authors Katie MacAlister, Angie Fox, Marianne Mancusi, and Lisa Cach. The walking dead will never seem so lovey-dovey!

Romantic Readers know my loyalty for Rachel Gibson, so how could this day pass without me mentioning The Trouble with Valentine's Day ? The story of a failing PI named Kate Hamilton and an injured former hockey player, Rob Sutter, there's nothing more fun and frilly than reading about cynical Kate falling for the manly Rob.

I read this new to me author a week or so ago and I'm hooked!  Emma Cane was terrific!!  I'm looking forward to her next one in this series.

The Virtuoso by Grace Burrowes - Valentine Windham's story. Not to be missed, and reread often.

Melanie, I'm so glad you enjoyed A Town Called Valentine! Your review was wonderful!

REader_824: I am not surprised that you loved the Emma Cane. It is right up your alley!

MsGodiva1: How clever of you to choose a book with a character named Valentine! I might steal the idea for next year's column. :smileywink: (And, I love those Burrowes books.)

Welcome, Emma! I crowed about the book at Romantic Reads, too. Terrific debut, and I just loved your description of the mountains - such a vivid, loving rendering of that locale. Congratulations!

Thanks for the list Melanie, just added a few to mine :smileyhappy:

and speaking of Rachel Gibson, it may not be a Valentine title but it reigns as one of her best in my book

An old favorite of mine is Rachel Gibson's THE TROUBLE WITH VALENTINE'S DAY:

Many of my favorites are the series of vampire stories by author, Maggie Shayne. That's LOVE with a bite! I also love, Miss Emma and the Arch Angel by Rachel Lee, I believe (I may have gotten that one wrong). Go romance authors! We love you!
