New books! New books! New books! What is more exciting than carting home an armful of new books? (Or staring at all the lovely new covers adorning your erearder "shelves?")
This week at Romantic Reads we have cause to celebrate, and serious business to get down to. There are a lot of new titles out, and somebody has to help you sort them all out. Want something super sexy and with a great story? Try the new Toni Blake, Willow Springs (Destiny, Ohio Series #5). Looking for an engaging, romantic epic? Search no farther than Elizabeth Hoyt's new Maiden Lane book, Thief of Shadows. Just want a laugh? Judging by the title, Diane Kelly's Death, Taxes, and Extra-Hold Hairspray should keep you in fits of giggles. And there is a new Sherryl Woods book out: Midnight Promises (Sweet Magnolias Series #8)!
I myself have been counting the days for the second Noirot sisters book, Scandal Wears Satin (Dressmakers Series #2) . Poor Harry, the Earl of Longmore, was so flummoxed by the blonde, French, manipulating Sophy Noirot at the end of Silk Is for Seduction (Dressmakers Series #1) , it was a no-brainer to give them their own romantic saga. The Noirot sisters are up to their usual in this frothy, funny concoction of a story, battling fashion rivals and managing their men and creating trouble as often as they control it. Sophy isn't just a dressmaker, she's a lady who steers the opinion of the ton by infiltrating their gatherings - using disguises! - and writing salacious, irresistible gossip pieces for one of London's most popular papers. All while tantalizing, confusing, and beguiling the Earl of Longmore! He doesn't stand a chance.
Another improbable romantic pair appears in Gena Showalter's Wicked Nights . Gena's a Romantic Reads favorite - her Lords of the Underworld series is a must-read for fans of paranormal alpha males. Added to the list of her unforgettably masculine heroes is Zacharel, an angel so bad even Heaven can't contain him. But he's about to meet his match in Annabelle Miller, a woman who has met the challenges in her life with resilience and grit. She's a target of demons, and only Zacharel can save her. If he doesn't kill or kiss her first.
