It's finally here!  Tonight at 7pm EDT/6pm CT, join me as you and I host Roxanne St. Claire and the W. Melbourne, FL Barnes & Noble Romance Reader's Circle here at Heart to Heart!

We're talking all about Rocki's hot new read, "Hunt Her Down  ," and at the end of our one-hour, free-for-all, book-club meeting, Rocki's posting an Exclusive Excerpt from "Make Her Pay," the next book in her Bullet Catcher series.  It's super-hot, and you only can get it here!

Log on early to start chatting, and get set to meet new friends who love romance.  In-store Romance Reader's Circle (RRC) members will be joining in the chat, too! In the photo below, take a gander at the awesome crew -- led by Community Relations Manager and consummate romance supporter Kaori Suzuki-Fisher -- from the W. Melbourne B&N who're your in-store hosts tonight. They're holding lots of Rocki's reads, plus another fave, "Lucan," by Susan Kearney.  Lee Duncan is your in-store co-host, leader of the W. Melbourne RRC.

So grab your copy of "Hunt Her Down  " - or get'cha a copy, cause you've still got time to glom a read - and meet us here after work, after supper or before bedtime for a one-of-kind treat as we kick of the H2H Online/In-Store Romance Reader's Circle!

Will you be in-store or online for tonight's circle?  What upcoming book would you like to see chatted free-for-all in a future H2H Online/In-Store RRC?

Melanie Murray returns this Thursday with ROMANTIC READS This Week and a tantalizing update on what'll be doing at the Romantic Reads boards in October! Thanks, Melanie, for loaning us your H2H Romantic Reads Tuesday.

Please join us in remembering Kate Duffy -- or take a moment to find out why she made romance better for us all.

lol, debbie.  I'm SO behind in work today because I can't wait for this and keep getting distracted. I think we'll meet so many new friends. Roxanne sent out the word to all her readers, and I think we can count on a few stopping by.  I'm guessing the shed scene may be discussed.

by Author RoxanneStC on ‎09-29-2009 01:16 PM

Am counting the hours and getting ready to talk all about HUNT HER DOWN, Michelle.  There will definitely be some shed scene discussion...I can tell you how, why, what, who...all sorts of cool insider information.  See you tonight!

by Moderator dhaupt on ‎09-29-2009 01:56 PM

Ooooh, can't wait, thanks for the preview Roxanne. OMG just thinking about the shed makes me quiver.

We are online and ready to get started at Barnes & Noble waiting for everyone to arrive.  Word has it that our famous author, Rocki St. Claire is in the house.  Stay tuned....

by Elle_Jordan on ‎09-29-2009 06:52 PM

Please note that I am Elle Jordan and I am your hostess tonight and I will be typing for Roxanne St. Claire who says she can't talk and type at the same time.   :-)

Hope y'all don't mind if I jump the gun a little, but I've been pondering this ever since I read Hunt Her Down.

Rocki, you're so good at intertwining the romance and the suspense. How do you balance the two?

by cuteasabug38 on ‎09-29-2009 06:54 PM

I read Make Her Pay and it is the best book I've read of hers, so far.  Roxanne just keeps getting better and better!  The shed scene in Hunt Her Down was hot and she described it so that you had no trouble visualizing it.  I loved the end of the shed scene where Max tells Maggie that Dan has horrible night vision....her response was hysterical.  I am 2/3rd the way through the book and didn't want to go to work today....I wanted to finish the book!  Those of you who haven't read it yet are in for a real treat, as well as a real thrill!

by Elle_Jordan on ‎09-29-2009 06:57 PM

Jane asks: How do you balance romance and suspense?

Rocki says:  Hell if I know... it's a constant challenge and struggle because I love the romance and I know the suspense keeps the plot moving.  It certainly is an element of the story which I spend a tremendous amount of time considering.  So thank you very much for noticing.

by Elle_Jordan on ‎09-29-2009 06:58 PM

cuteasabug38: gushes

Rocki: blushes, thank you so much, it sure didn't take long to get to the shed scene.

by cuteasabug38 on ‎09-29-2009 07:00 PM

You are welcome, Rocki!  It was so hot and so funny!  I loved it!

by playground_monitor on ‎09-29-2009 07:01 PM

Hey Rocki!  The Alabama contingent is here.  I got Make Her Pay yesterday and have read about 4 chapters.  Con is yum-OH!

And oh yeah... that shed scene.  I had to take a cold shower afterward.

by cuteasabug38 on ‎09-29-2009 07:04 PM

Rocki, does your husband blush when he reads your sex scenes?  Or does it turn him on?

by Author JaneSevier on ‎09-29-2009 07:05 PM

Thanks, Rocki. Is it a chicken and egg thing? Do you plot the romance and then figure out the suspense, or vice versa, or do they emerge together? Seems complicated enough to do one or the other, so I'm in awe of someone who does both so well.

by ArkCyndi on ‎09-29-2009 07:15 PM

Arkansas is here! Loved it, Rocki. As usual.

Even though you live in FL and have been to the Keys, did you have to go to Marathon for research while writing the book?

The shed scene...oh Yeah! You never hesitate to tackle the hard stuff!

by cuteasabug38 on ‎09-29-2009 07:17 PM

Gotta drop out....supper's ready!  Have fun at your book signing, Rocki.  Wish I was there!

by playground_monitor on ‎09-29-2009 07:18 PM

"... hard stuff!"

by Blogger Michelle_Buonfiglio on ‎09-29-2009 07:18 PM

Hi, Everyone!  Will you head up to the new post at the top of the queue?  It introduces you to the folks at the FL RRC, and shows you what they're doing right now!  Plus, Rocki'll answer your questions!

by Moderator dhaupt on ‎09-29-2009 07:22 PM

Hi Roxanne, I finally got home and waited and waited for my stupid dial up to load. I read Hunt Her Down and I just loved it. Wow what a scene there was in that shed. Wow talk about romance on the sizzle burner. whew!!

I know you have kids and I wanted to know at what age would you let them read your books? 30-40 ;-)

by Moderator dhaupt on ‎09-29-2009 07:26 PM

OH ps guys, I'm from the great state of Missouri.

Since 1997, you’ve been coming to to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.
