Nine's considered an auspicious number to some Chinese folks, so let's consider this our lucky day. too!  Since we've scored a triple niner on the ol' Gregorian, I've put together a list of Nine Romances You Won't Say Nein To!

Poor preposition placement and particularly pathetic pun aside, check out these most excellent new reads. Without further alliteration, I give you:

1. "To Catch a Bride  ," by Anne Gracie - Rafe Ramsey heads to Egypt to locate a missing family friend.  He finds an enchanting urchin who's more than meets the eye - and a sweetly passionate woman who'll turn his rigid, former-soldier's world on its head. Best Gracie ever!
2. "Lucan  ," by Susan Kearney - Steamy, other-galaxy rompin' ensues when a healer/high priestess falls for an Earthly explorer looking for the Holy Grail.  Big secrets = super entertainment.
3. "Simply Wicked  " by Kate Pearce -- Pearce's smokin' Simply series continues as fan fave Anthony Sokorvsky meets the woman who'll accept him for who he is - once she helps him figure that out.
4. "Bengal's Heart  ," by Lora Leigh - Another emotionally raw and sensually earthy Breed novel with a feisty heroine in heat (oops, more alliteration) and the moody/broody hero who thinks she's grrrrreat!
5. "On These Silken Sheets  ," by Sabrina Darby - Three very erotic and engaging stories of lusty encounters leading to HEA make this anthology a treat for historical fans who like their bawdy with a whole lotta' heat and emotion.
6. "Fugitive (Cat Star Chronicles Series #5)  ," by Cheryl Brooks -  Pre-order this  read in the Cat Star Chronicles. Another studly shapeshifter warrior stalks his prey - another unsuspecting woman falls for the hedonistic delights of a super-sexed hero, cattin' around for someone to love.

7. "Indiscreet  ," by Caroline Jewel - This Turkish delight's set in locales both refined and rugged. An exceptional, adventurous love story of a young woman who cares more for scholarship than Society and a nobleman who's almost too noble for his own good.
8. "Seduced by Shadows  ," by Jessa Slade - Wicked cool and intriguing debut in the Marked Souls series.  Intensely fine writing and a super-sharp take on the demon hunter make this a standout.  Check out why Ferris Archer and his boys may soon to be the new faves among Band of Brothers romancers.
9. "Queen of Song and Souls  ," by C.L. Wilson - The highly anticipated fourth book in the Tairen Soul series.  Follow fierce, magickal warriors Elysetta and Rain as they battle awesome forces of evil - and continue their already passionate love story -- in the exotic and dangerous Fading Lands.

I have quite a few of these already on my wish list, including the Susan Kearney 'Lucan' one and Sabrina Darby's "On Silken Sheets'. It's looking like a great month!

And thanks for the shout-out for Simply Wicked!

Jessa Slade's book is out? How did I miss that! I've read the Lora Leigh and I loved Carolyn Jewel's Scandal and her paranormals. I can't keep up with all these!

Hiya, Kate Pearce!  Well, I've been waiting so long for Anthony's story! Naughty of you to make us wait.  And the tease of the next Simply book? Evil of you; now we have to wait for that one. sigh.

Hi, Susan. Thanks for the heads up.

It's almost out, becke.  But there's always pre-order!  I like "Indescreet" even better than "Scandal," which was awesome.  But that's the way it always is w/me. I'm like, i couldn't possibly like something more than this...except forrrrrrr this!

Thanks so much for the mention, ladies!  I may have just accidentally tweeted & status updated everywhere about SEDUCED BY SHADOWS getting a mention on a real bookstore site!  And such a fabulous one to boot :smileywink:  October 6 canNOT come fast enough.

Hey, Michelle! I can't keep up with your locations!

I'm anticipating Double Blind by Ann Aguirre. I'd also like to buy J.R. Ward's new angel series, Fallen, I think is the title of the 1st book. I know I'm missing more but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

Thanks so much for mentioning Indiscreet, and among such wonderful company, too. I'm looking forward to all those books.

Hey Michelle, is that "Nein"-pun in my honour? :smileywink:

No talking about To Catch A Bride, please, since that's the one I was talking about the other day when I complained that store wouldn't allow me to downlaod it. The answering email came yesterday, btw, and it said that the two (hello?) ebooks I wanted to download were defective. *grumble* Now I ordered the real book *grumble* which will take two weeks or so to arrive... *grumble*

Hmm, the latest Cindy Miles (Thirteen Chances) already lies here in front of me on my desk (can't wait to start!). Wicked All Day by Liz Carlyle will be out in October, I think, as well as The Care And Taming Of A Rogue by Nicole Jordan and the latest in Lorraine Heath's Scoundrels of St.James-series, Midnight Pleasures With A Scoundrel (let's hear it for Jim Swindler, yay!). And of course, A Lady Of Persuasion. Tessa Dare is da bomb, really. Just finished Surrender Of A Siren two days ago and absolutely LOVED it!

Ooh Michelle, some great books two of which I've already pre-ordered, Susan Kearney's Lucan, love her sci-fis and have read most of them if not all and CL Wilson's new book I love her Tairen Souls series. And the rest will eventually find a nice spot on my all too tall TBR pile. You know if I'd stop visiting the boards here I might be able to make a sizable dent in said pile. ;-)

Oh well in my next life I'll be independently wealthy and sit at home all day eating bon bons and reading romance, can't you just see it, what a life that would be.

Michelle, thanks for including my book in the list and for the lovely comment. There's a fantastic variety out this month, which as a reader, I love. A couple of authors new to me, there, too. Thanks.
