Eloisa James kicked off the month of November with a lovely look at the good boys of romance. Examples of these heroes you wouldn't mind taking home to Mom and Dad were the men in Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts; Blaze of Memory by Nalini Singh; Silented Night, Haunted Night by Terri Garey; and To Desire a Devil by Elizabeth Hoyt.

I figured, why not feature all of these books at Romantic Reads?

That's just what we're doing. And kicking off a month of great author conversation is Nalini Singh, who is chatting at Romantic Reads all week about her latest entry in the amazingly good, unbelievably sexy Psy-Changeling series. In the author's words, Blaze of Memory "focuses on Katya and Dev. Dev is the leader of the Forgotten - these are the Psy who dropped out of the PsyNet rather than embrace the emotionless chill of Silence. And the Psy Council has been trying to kill off the Forgotten ever since. We also made a very special announcement this week - the beginnings of a brand-new, First-Look-light program called Sneak Peak. Sneak Peak kicks off at Romantic Reads with the selection of Heather Webber's Truly, Madly: When psychic matchmaker Lucy Valentine is hired by a new client, she's shocked to find he has a skeleton in his past--literally. Hi Melanie - AnneB here - Wow our romance cup runneth over ! I guess a favorite from the 80's and 90's is probably Nora Roberts and maybe Fern Michaels. Also Iris Johansen - her Sedikan series. This is also a good week for new books - I can't wait for my delivery !  Happy Reading...

Hi Melanie!

You and Michelle are killing me (smiling) in a great way with all of these good reads!  My TBR file is growing instead of going down!  I've discovered so many good authors here, I hardly know whose book to buy or read first!  My reading cup does indeed runneth over.  Now if only my wallet cup would do the same, I'd be so thrilled!!!

Like Nalini Singh's books, my favorites of Iris Johansen's are a series -- the Eve Duncan series. I've been following that series from the beginning. Likewise, I discovered Nalini's Psy series when the second book came out. I've been hooked ever since. I'm halfway through BLAZE OF MEMORY -- it's soooo good!

Oh, I simply LOVE Nalini's work! And, yes, I've visited (stalked) briefly (repeatedly) at both her sight and over at Romantic Reads! Can't wait for Amazon to deliver BOM! Yay!

I also love, as you probably know, Kresley Cole's IAD series, as well as Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels! Love it!

Melanie, you are so right about the books winning every time!  They do that to me too!!!  I just ordered some last night.  This is supposed to be my monthly allowance for books that I give myself.  One of them, I've put off for months reading, waiting for it to go to paper.  I just couldn't wait any longer.  That book was calling to me (sheepishly smiling)!

Hi Melanie - AnneB here - I just got into Iris Johansen during the past year or so - my sister is a huge fan of her older books, so she got me started with one of the Sedikan books - but anal-retentive that I am, I wanted to read the series from book #1. Needless to say, the search for the really old books has taken me a while (and I'm not quite finished !) I guess I like reading a series, because you really get to know the characters, and can revisit old friends when they show up again. I haven't started Johansen's Eve Duncan books yet - but I think I have the first book in my TBR pile (the one that is beginning to resemble Mt. Everest  !). At this point, I don't have a favorite yet - but I'll let you know...

Anne, I love this post. Love the idea that you're on the hunt for these old books. It must be all the more satisfying when you find and read and love them!
