Boston Corbett vs. Jack Ruby

My generation lived through the Kennedy assassination. So most of us saw Jack Ruby shoot and kill Lee Harvey Oswald (the "official" assassin) on live television as they were televising the jail transfer of Oswald. If you asked people in my group who killed Lee Harvey Oswald, they would know it was Jack Ruby. So I tried an experiment with my husband---a history major. I asked him who killed John Wilkes Booth and he didn't know it was Boston Corbett. Anyone else want to see if people around you know about Boston Corbett? I didn't until I read this book.

The only people I asked if they knew who Boston Corbett was, said...who??? ROFL. It was like Jay Leno's jay walkers. One said, isnt he one of those big dollar poker players on tv? lol. yeah I asked the same thing you did, well i asked if they knew who Boston was, not did they know who killed Booth. To tell you the truth, all this time, I thought he had been caught and hanged myself!

Re: Boston Corbett vs. Jack Ruby

Boston Corbett is a great name for a poker player! I didn't remember the name either, although I recognized it when I saw it from somewhere.
