I'd like to take a little time away from talk about the novel to discuss some of your other interests. By now I'm sure everyone knows that you are much more than a novelist... you're an adventurer too - can you tell us about your interests in caves and in scuba diving?
And for those who don't know, James Rollins is Dr. Jim Czajkowski, the veterinarian. Jim, I know you're not in practice full time, but you still do some work in your practice, right? I'd love to hear about some of your more interesting cases!

Also you might peek at the full page advertisement for tourism in Belize in the recent issue of Archeology Magazine - it's in the first part of the magazine - about a 7 mile "deep" cave tourists can float. I first took it to mean deep like in depth but I realize on re-reading they mean deep as in long. How fascinating - kind of like your caves in Excavation.

As to Belize, I was there this past winter and I saw advertisements for the cave float, but I didn't get a chance to do it. I was too busy trekking through some Mayan ruins there.
