Excellent snippet and can't wait to get the time to read the book about one of the greatest statesmen the world has ever known. Truly a gifted man born into an age wherein his Jewishness was a political liabilty, he faced choices to make which would either enable or restrict his ability to bring his gifts to bear. Here we sit, safely ensconced within the 21st Century. Let us look to history to help us judge whether he made the right decisions for himself and the 19th Century, Victorian milieu in which he found himself.
