I'm sending a dedication out to Rachel for some of the scenes in the two books. I don't want to give any potential spoilers. Thus, the song is dedication enough. (winks) The band is rather new, but I am extremely happy I found them!!!

I've found lots of new music from checking out Kim's music page on her website. I never listen to radio so reading suggestions from other readers is a great way for me to find groups that I've never listened to before.

Actually, I found my latest group from just following a particular guitarist who left a band I liked. If anyone has heard of Wes Borland from Limp Bizkit, he has a new band called Black Light Burns and a CD called "Cruel Melody." A lot of the songs from that CD relate to scenes with Ivy. One of my favorites is COWARD, which totally recalls the emotional aftermath of the "van" scene. If you enjoy good rock music, check him out. His MySpace is http://myspace.com/blacklightburns. I have been continually amazed at how many people do the same thing as I do, finding music that fits characters or scenes in books that I've read. I blame it on Disney and their movie, Fantasia. ;-) Right now, I get most of my inspiration from alternative rock, but 80's music is good, too.

I agree, it was like they were writing the sound track for the nook. I am stealing an idea that I saw on Kim's comment page a week or so ago. The person said it would be cool if Kim's books came with CD's to listen to while reading. Of course there are all kinds of legal and financial problems with that, but it'd be cool none the less

It might work. They would just sell the book/CD for more, and somehow split the profits for the artists and author. I think it would make for great publicity, having books and CDs together. Especially when they capture the book...or even vice versa. I really like the idea.

An easier option might be to put a playlist of music at the beginning of the book. Like what you were inspired by or influenced by hearing or that was just playing while you wrote? Carrie Vaughn does that in her "Kitty" books and it's really cool to try to get those songs on hand while I read the book.

Great idea to who ever said Kim should put a play list with her books, that would rock. On your home web site do you have a way of listening to any of your music suggestions? if you did that would be great! I tried listening to the german radio station on my computer, but my computer sucks pixy dust and I can't! =(
