Just wanted to let you all know that this is our last week with Kim- this book club will end on Friday, and the new clubs will start next Monday.
I know you'll all want to get in any last questions for Kim this week (not that she'll give away any secrets...) and cover any topics that you're still pondering.
This has been such an excellent group, I surely hate to see it end.
Kim, you'll have to come back and see us again. Soon. No, sooner than that!

Thank you, Ms. Harrison for taking time out to answer them and for putting up with our conspiracy theories. Too many times an author is just a name on a book and the FAQ part of their webpage isn't all that helpful.
Speaking of helpful, it's been great to have moderators that have actually read the book I've heard horror stories when a mod has no idea about what they're moderating.

If you really like this kind of message board format, there is a fan-run message board called Rhombus where we just love discussing the Hollows.
Kim doesn't post there but it's a small forum so far and it's pretty easy to stay up on what's going on. I'm the same username there but I've not posted in a while, just lurking lately since there isn't much going on. We could use new people to liven up the discussions!

I have to know what you do that you can read at work-I would love that!
I really hope you do join Vicki's group, the books are superb. My children are getting annoyed because I'm constantly waving them away. I was even reading during our walk this morning. Of course, son was jogging and daughter was on a scooter, so they didn't really care.

Well I thought it was pretty obvious, I don't really do anything. I work 2 12 hour shifts get full bennies and paid for 30 hours. technically, I am a guard at a saw mill but I 'do' more than that. If a truck picks up a load, I weigh them and print up a trip ticket. On a typical weekend, I may see 2 trucks. Usually its zero.
Twelve hours is a long time to do nothing so I am allowed to read, surf, and watch DVD's I just have to make sure the place doesn't get stolen or burn down before Monday rolls around again. In 2 years, I have had to put our 5 fires. So far I have been lucky and they were all small ones.
It would be a good job for someone that wants a lot of alone time to do some writing. I like it.
Oh during the week, I fill in a day or two as a log inspector. Can't read or anything there, too much to do. My joke title is Forrester Junior, Bob. If I want a laugh when I come in, I snap to attention after entering the office and say, "Forrester Junior Bob, on the JOB!" and snap up a salute. Gets them every time.
I am 10 chapters into SoS now. Once I finish both books, I'll jump into Showgirl's discussion. That should be her screen name.
Book 4 "Screaming Shadows: by Vicki Pettersson aka "Showgirl" I better go hide now.
