Re: MARCH MADNESS - St. Patrick's Day Party Today!

I'm here!  Just give me a Moment to light this....

[puff]  Ah, that's better - now I'm Ready to Party!!!  Where's the Irish Coffee?

I'm also wearing my Lovely Bracelet that my mother gave me for Christmas (really).  When better to wear an 'Irish Blessings' bracelet?

Queen Mother, when I read your list of Recipes, I thought that one was called 'Irish Potato Farts'! :smileyvery-happy:

As you know, Khan is too Shy to attend Parties, but Romeo is here with me, suitably Attired.

He has also Promised to keep an eye out for the Drunken Rabbit.

I have brought some lovely Irish stew.

Help yourself!!!

I also brought some more Jameson, in case we run out.

I'll have that Irish Coffee now, thank you...

Mmmm, that hits the Spot!!!

Re: MARCH MADNESS - St. Patrick's Day Party Today!

Oh, dear Dulcinea!  Farl, not Fart!
The word farl originates from the Gaelic word fardel meaning four parts. These potato griddle breads can be made with leftover mashed potatoes too. Serve hot with a little butter and salt, or fry them alongside soda bread as part of an Ulster Fry-up.  They may give you farts after you eat them, but I would imagine the amount of cabbage you pile on the top, is to blame.....
Your dress is perfectly gorgeous!...but, please remember to "light up" in the designated areas.  I hate to be such a snob about this, but Papa Smurf hates to pick up old butts off the lawn after a party!
That bracelet, I have never seen one like it before!  It is beautiful.  What does it say on the little hearts?  I see love, joy...is the word laughter on one? Are those Emeralds and Diamonds?  It really is unique.  I love it!
I am sorry that Khan was too shy to come to the party, but I am glad that Romeo was able to find something to wear, and hope that he will enjoy himself.  Just be careful of that pesky rabbit, he may sneak up behind little Romeo and pounce on his tail.  Rabbits find them alluring, the way that swish back and forth....
My stomach is starting to growl, all of this nice food you have brought to the party.  As much as I would like to partake of the Irish Whiskey, I am afraid I have been restricted to a small nosh.  I must stay alert, and of sound mind, attending to the guests this year.  My daughter, Princess Deb, who usually handles these receptions, has run away with the Knight In Shining Armor, and has forgotten all about her dear old mother.  It is a sad year, to be sure.  But I will try not to show my sorrow, and staying sober is of importance at this time. [little tear]
I think I will go now to the kitchen, and see how the farts are coming along....
Enjoy

I assume this is who everyone is looking for. The minute he saw me and heard the dogs, off he hopped. Off course he had helped himself to the sweets and the tea. But we are always happy to share. But he could of said hello and introduced himself. At least he didn't cause the problems he has in other areas of the kingdom.

Ahhhh the Maintenance Gremlin devoured my post this morning!

Oh No, my fellow nobles that is not White Rabbit, but poor Mr. March Hare. He wandered off last night, I had hoped he was sobering up and perhaps I could get some sense out of him. Only to not be able to find him. He seems to be quite taken with your lovely tea set.

Perhaps we could lure him with a tea party set up?

Re: MARCH MADNESS - Calendar

I could really use an Irish Coffee! Or three.

Fair warning Mickel the Leprechaun and Conan the Churlicune have insisted on attending. I was planning on inviting my brusk guests but they didn't give me a chance.

So please a few extra kegs of Guinness.

Re: MARCH MADNESS - St. Patrick's Day Party Today!

Well, my dear Kingdom, going green is not as hard as I thought.  One of our staff was walking by the pond carrying a bowl of green Jell-O, and out sprang a rabbit, darting under his feet!...!!  And BLAM!  Into the pond, head over tea kettle goes the bowl of green Jell-O!  Mr. Limpet is furious!  He just ran by me, leaving a trail of green.....[[[[[sigh]]]]]

Re: MARCH MADNESS - Limping Mr. Limpet Leaves The Party- Jell-O Green!

Queen Kathy,

I had a lovely time at the party. So much fun.

But when I got home, look what that rabbit did to my poodle.

I wonder how many times I will wash her before she turns white again.

I hope someone finds him.

Never fear a Jello Dye comes out with a simple warm shampoo. But we have to catch that blasted RABBIT!

Re: MARCH MADNESS - Limping Mr. Limpet Leaves The Party- Jell-O Green!

I was so quick to post, so everyone would be on the lookout for that rabbit.

And thanks for the tip on getting the green out.

But look what that rabbit left on my nightstand for me.

Maybe he is not so bad after all.

Spoke too soon again.

I went to let the dogs out and found this poor kitten.

I am sure this was the rabbit.

This is not part of my crystal glassware.

Is anyone missing a kitten?

Belinda! Poor baby! First he sick the fae and M Hare on me for the week then he steals my kitten!

Don't drink that beer! I think that's how he messed with M Hare. I suspect something in his tea.

Re: MARCH MADNESS - Limping Mr. Limpet Leaves The Party- Jell-O Green!

I was going to drink that beer. But I was so tired from the party, I fell asleep. Good thing I did.

Now the question is Tigger you say it is your kitten Belinda. Susan says it is her kitten CozyCat. You each must stop by to identify whose kitten it is. But that means that rabbit has another kitten.

I don't think the rabbit just left it there on my doorstep. Because when I opened the door last night, I first heard a rustling in the bushes, the dogs started barking. But then I saw that kitten in the glass. So I am hoping the rabbit is taking care of that other little kitten.

Re: MARCH MADNESS - Limping Mr. Limpet Leaves The Party- Jell-O Green!

Lady Susan,

Thank you for explaining the poodle I had. They are Doris Day's poodles. She was visiting I am hoping all of you met her at the party. She is so much fun. We had left all the dogs at the cottage. Look what that rabbit did to all her beautiful poodles. Doris stopped to pose for this picture before she had to leave for an engagement. Doris loved the kitten that I found. You and Tigger are lucky that I read the post that kitty has an owner or it would have been gone with Doris.

Stop by soon so we can verify who is the owner of the kitty.

And watch out for the rabbit!

Sorry I'm late to the party! I was en route to the Kingdom when a pack of wild leprechauns carried me off! One of them was really creepy - I was lucky to escape!

I could see where that could be Very Annoying for Papa Smurf! :smileytongue:

Thank you, Queen Mother!  The Hearts on my bracelet say Luck, Joy, Faith, Love, Laughter, and Friendship.  They also have appropriate 'wishes' on the back of each one.  "May you..." etc.  There are green Swarovski crystals; it does look like white ones, too, but those are really the way the metal is shaped.

I am so Glad that Queen Pollenasia finally made it to the Party, and that she Escaped from those Scary Leprechauns!  I am glad that They did not Crash our Party!!!

Re: MARCH MADNESS - Breakfast, the day after

Lovely to see you again, my dear Queen Polly!  I hope you and your friend have made yourself at home? Thank you so much for bringing breakfast!  But, I think I am going to pass on the green eggs and ham, this morning,  and the green Jell-O....I am feeling a bit green around the gills...I borrowed that phrase from Mr. Limpet.  I believe he is hiding out until we get the green Jell-O out of the pond.  I must check on things right now, so make yourself at home! And thank you again for attending!

The other Queen,

Kathy

Mr. Limpet seems a bit discombobulated himself.
