The story of Wordsmithsonia (add on)

My dear friends, the other day I was wondering around the castle when I saw a little group of kids, they were reading a history book about all the kingdoms and they asked me the story of Wordsmithsonia I started looking for it on the book when I saw that some pages had been torn down , I just found this short part of the story , but I begun to think if you could all write a part that you remember so we can build the story again , I would start making a book specially for Wordsmithsonia, so I am waiting for your story parts so the kids of Wordsmithsonia can finally have written how their kingdom was created.

Here is what I found on the book

Once upon a time there was a boy who lost his family when he was very young , he came back one day from playing with his friends and found his parents dead at the doorstep ,when he saw he begun to cry, he sat down and remembered his father told him if he ever found them dead he should run away and hide for someone would come back and look for him. He stood up as fast as he could , kissed his mother and his father goodbye , and begun journeying into the forest. As he walked through the woods he heard the sounds of hoofs running as fast as they could heading towards his house, he did not look back and continued walking through the forest. Night quickly catched up with the boy and now he was beginning to feel cold, there was nowhere to sleep around or to cover himself from the cold. He stopped walking turned around , searching for a place to sleep but non did he found. He was about to begin to cry when a small firefly landed on his hand, he looked at it scared, but as he looked , fireflies started to circle around him, soon he was illuminated by a circle of fireflies. Even though the fireflies could not warm him, he sat down that night and slept, he dreamt about his old life, his mom , his dad and the life he used to have , wondering what he was going to do now.

The rays of light started entering the forest when the boy woke up, the fireflies were gone or at least were hiding , he opened his eyes and found he had a blanket on him, he did not remember carrying a blanket with him , someone had put it there, he stood up and looked around , there he saw it, in front of him was a red book with his name on it, now he had a choice to make it, to open it or not?

Re: The story of Wordsmithsonia (add on)

As he picked up the book, a melodious voice was heard.  Startled, he looked around, but could not see the source.  It seemed to come from everywhere.  It told him that the book he held in his hands was a very special book, for in it were all of the words in the world.  If he chose, he might study the book and learn all of the words.  This would be a very long and time-consuming task, but the rewards would be considerable.  Once he had mastered all of the words in the world, he would become a Wordsmith.  Words would be his tools and do his command; he would have enormous influence with all of the people, creatures, and things of the world.

The boy sat on a nearby tree stump and began to turn the pages of the book.  In it, he saw many words; some he recognized, but still more were new to him.  Since he had no place else to go and nobody to care about him, he decided to accept the challenge, even if it took years.

As he read, the seasons came and went.  And still he sat there, reading and learning.  The creatures of the forest came about him, and gave him what he needed.  They brought him food and water and piled leaves up around him and over his head, to give him shelter.

On the eve of the twentieth year of his solitary studies, he closed the book upon the last page and stood up.  Now he was ready to begin the life he had prepared for.

Re: The story of Wordsmithsonia (add on)

The preparation for this journey, after twenty long and rewarding years of study, brought the young man to a place of understanding.  He read these words in this book, and found meaning to the life he knew he must lead.

To leave the forest, his now friends and family, was not easy, for he became reliant upon them, and love was deep.  But, with their encouragement, and his will to create, he knew that leaving was his only choice, if he were to become a man of great leadership.   Destiny awaited his decisions.

He gathered his belongings, meager as they were, and his book in hand, said good-bye to his creature friends, and headed up the path he had explored, many times before.   They followed him to the edge of the forest, but this time, he would venture beyond, to see a new world unfold before him.

Along side rivers and streams, he journeyed.  He had learned to find food and drink, and shelter.  Along his way, he saw hills and mountains, valleys and meadows.  Deserts and wildflowers, beyond imagination.  It was written in this book, the flavors and smells of this world, but he had never in his wildest dreams thought he would capture them, himself.  His dreams were coming true.  Words were everywhere, just for the asking.

He met people along the pathways.  Some helpful and kind, some not.  Some loving and giving, some taking.  But, he held tight to this book, and his dreams, until he knew he was safe in a land far away, known to him only, as The Kingdom of Wordsmithonia.  A Kingdom that rules with love and understanding.  A Kingdom that he would rule with a gentle hand.  The lessons he learned, from the words of this book.

He now knew what he was destined to do, and to be - and the journey to this place became a great adventure;  a once in a lifetime dream to create, that only he could fulfill.
