Are Steve Martin's books,Born Standing Up and Pure Drivel really that funny? I've looked through them both and I can't say that I find Steve Martin as funny a writer as a standup comic. If anyone feels these books are worth reading,please let me know.

The only steve martin book I've read was his autobiography and it was ok.  Nothing special.  And I love him in the movies.

if youre looking for fiction, id recommend anything by Christopher Moore, I think his books are hilarious and have excellent plots.
