Please use this thread to disucss Chapters 8 to 10 (including footnotes) of Behind the Scenes at the Museum. Please clearly mark a SPOILER WARNING if your post contains plot information from later in the novel.
I read and knit and dance. Compulsively feel yarn. Consume books. Darn tights. Drink too much caffiene. All that good stuff.

This section contained some highs and a low.
Chapter Nine, Holiday! and Chapter Ten, Wedding Bells, were hilarious! They seemed like scenes out of a TV comedy show of 30 years ago!
Footnote (ix) - In the Realm of Aire and Angells, was a low. I found myself wondering what was going on when I entered this section. I felt overwhelmed by all the new names. Clearly we were to learn about Edmund's death, but I found this footnote to be boring and unnecessary. I skimmed it.
I still haven't figured out what "the accident" involving Ruby was, but it must involve water.
Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.

I still haven't figured out what "the accident" involving Ruby was, but it must involve water.
It will be crucial -- since I read this once before, I skimmed much of it a night or so ago. The accident still doesn't fit into the first chapter of the story to my mind, so I guess I shall have to go back and re-read more carefully.
