It was a three or four book series revolving around a family where the eldest daughter and main character throughout the whole series solved mysteries involving egyptian artifacts. I know she did not marry until the last book however her sisters got set up in the previous books and the main characters eventual husband was in all the books as her mystery solving partner.
I know one of the artifacts was a cat statue.
I'm pretty sure the series must have been printed in the 1990s. I also know it was published by one of the big name regency romance printers and I'm about 90% sure it was either Zebra or Signet.
It's such a silly thing to get hung up on but this has been driving me made for years. If someone actually finds it I'll be shocked.

I think you might be looking for the Amelia Peabody Emerson novels by Elizabeth Peters. They started publication around the 70s and have continued till recently. All the books base Amelia in Egypt and feature some kind of mystery.
