3 book fantasy series that features time travel, magic, and soul mates.

I want to read this series again so bad but I just can't remember the titles of any of the novels in this series.

The first book in the series starts with two main characters. It is a boy and a girl that secretly train to time travel to help save the world. The girl has a crush on the guy but he's not necessarily interested. In order to do this, the must go into a room that changes their appearance in order to blend in with the people of that time. Their caretaker is about 1,000 years old and has long purple hair.

I'm not sure if this is in the first or second novel but the female protagonist dies and the male protagonist believe it's his duty to save her. Only a soul mate can call back a soul from the dead, and when he calls her nothing happens. Not only until the guy with the purple hair calls for her does she turn around.

The two main characters receive powers from gods(elders?).

The title of just one of these novels would be great.

Nevermind. Luck would have it that I found the book browsing through the Barnes & Noble YA Fantasy pages. It's the Guardians of Time Series (The Named, The Dark, The Key)
