A book about a teen boy

The book had a black front and back cover and on the front there was like a little object in red.

And the book was about a Teen in school who got into trouble had to do I guess community service and he worked with the janitors for the summer and he became more muscular and better looking and when he returned to school all his classmates couldnt believe it and he also became more stylish had his mom buy him school clothes. Then the popular girl in school liked him he liked her but he didn't get along with her older brother. He didnt have a great relationship with his parents, his Dad worked all the time and was very miserable and spent most of the time in the basement doing work. He got along with his mom better, he also had a sister who eventually started dating his bestfriend who was a little goofy. His Dad worked for the popluar girls Dad, at one point the kid had to defend another kid from all the football players in the locker room and he stood up to all the guys especially the popular girls brother. The popluar girl broke her leg or foot and went and visited her at her house then they kind of became close then she got mad at him at a party because she was drinking and she wanted to be sexual with him up in a room and he said no not when your drunk she got mad. Then people took pictures of her and sent them around and Said it was the boy the police got involved. Thats All I remember, I cant remember the the title the author or the characters names. Please help me thanks :smileyhappy:

Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson:

Another New York Times bestseller from Laurie Halse Anderson! High school senior Tyler Miller used to be the kind of guy who faded into the background. But since he got busted for doing graffiti on the school, and spent the summer doing outdoor work to pay for it, he stands out like you wouldn't believe. His new physique attracts the attention of queen bee Bethany Milbury, who just so happens to be his father's boss's daughter, the sister of his biggest enemy, and Tyler's secret crush. And that sets off a string of events and changes that have Tyler questioning his place in school, in his family, and in the world.

But they've changed the cover...It used to black with a twisted red pencil on the cover.
