I am looking for a book that I read in 1994 about a base in being over run and many of the members being captured and their rescue.
The book uses the following planes: C-130 for evac of the prisoners, F-111 used to blow a hole in the prison wall or gate, F-15 for air support, AWACS for command and control and subsequent jamming of enemy aircraft.
There is also a team of special forces that are HAHO'd (High Altitude High Opening) in to affect the rescue. During the drop the Lieutenant's oxygen malfunctions and one of his troops guides his chute to his to help steer him to the target. Once on the ground the LT is hit by an anti aircraft weapon that is lowered so it can shoot at targets on the ground.
Any help would be appreciated.

That sounds like "Force of Eagles" by Richard Herman.
It was a sequel to his book "Warbirds" which is the book that contains the overrunning of the base.
