Hi everyone - I read a book in the 80's or 90's and would like to read it again. It is a horror novel. It is about a man who moves to a small town and sees balloons floating above people's heads. He soon realizes that the color of the balloon is an indication of the person's time of death. The darker the balloon, the closer to death; a black ballon means...watch out. As the balloons turn black, the people begin to kill each other etc. There is one part where two women are fighting on a street corner and they fight to the death. Also, there is a stadium, convention center, or something of that sort where hundreds of people are gathered and they ALL have black balloons floating above their heads. I hope someone can help me, I have been looking forever. Thanks!
