I'm trying to find a book I read a couple years back. It was Michael Crichton-esque. The plot involved there being major disasters across the globe involving sealife (Jelly fish swarms, whale attacks etc.) I remember later on there being a virus that hid inside lobsters and caused some problems. As the plot goes on a crew is assembled to go exploring in the sea to try to figure out what's causing the sudden aggressive attacks. I don't remember much of the ending. Oh! and I have a vague impression the main character is Aleutian.
It is going to drive me insane if I can't find it! Please help!
