Fashion/Etiquette guide book from the 1970's?

There was a book that my older sister consulted as a reference when she was in high school/college during the 1960's - early 70's. I was fascinated by it, but she practically kept it under lock and key. I think the author was a British woman... It gave instructions on how to hem a skirt, appropriate dress for work, parties, etc. as well as sex, dating, etc. Very heady stuff. It was similar to Glamour Magazine in that era i.e. "Do's and Don'ts" Any ideas?

Thanks!

Could it have been one of Emily Post's books?

Hi xmotown,

There's a book I remember from the sixties called "Here's to You, Miss Teen" by Mary Sue Miller.  Each section had different colored pages.  Probably geared for a younger teen, but thought I would throw it out.

The classic books were by Emily Post and, later, Amy Vanderbilt.  You might want to also browse through this list and see if anything looks familiar.
