It was this super emo fantasy book about this girl who's some sort of monster/creature who looks human, only with bat wings and weird clawed feet. She lives in the forest and is the last of her kind. A prince who lives in the nearby castle goes hunting in that forest all the time, and she hides in the trees and watches cause she's in love with him. Then some princess comes from another country and the prince is betrothed to her, which pisses bat girl off, so she kidnaps the princess, turns her to stone, and casts a spell on herself so she looks just like the princess....sound familiar at all? Long shot, I know, but google is not being helpful with this.It was written before 2003.
