I heard it on Spanish as a radio adaptation. Unfortunately my knowledge of the language is weak, so there are not much information I could understand. The genre is close to horror or thriller. It can be a vampire story as well (but I'm not sure about it).
The story took place in Italy and the main character's name was Marcus. I couldn't understand the situation, but there was something connected with murders. There was also a woman called Elena (or Helena), and quite possible that she played a significant role in the storyline. As the story reached its' climax, Elena died (she commited suicide or was killed, because the "blood was everywhere"). After that something was said about Finland. Maybe Marcus moved there, or he only had plans about that and the story ended.
Maybe it can happen, that someone of you would recognize the story, or it would remind you of something - any information would be great! And, if it can help, Charon's song "Unbreak, unchain" was part of audio version's soundtrack. And after the end there was very beautiful song on Finnish.
