Lady is in a coma after being hit by a bus/taxi in London

[ Edited ]

I'm trying to find a book I read years ago but can't remember!  It was a female author and was set in London I think.

The woman was hit by a bus or taxi and ends up in a coma (I think after travelling to Edinburgh and back and being shocked at something she sees) and tries to remember what has happened to get her to that point. During the film it transpires her husband died in the Canary Wharf bombing in London.

Anyone know which book this is?
