Lost book - Crime, Murder, Mystery

Hi there,

hoping someone could help me out here. Looking for the title of a book that I read back in 2007. The story was about a man wrongfully convicted of murder. He went to prison and was let out on probation some time later. While trying to establish himself again as a citizen he finds out that his identity has been stolen or used while he was serving time when he pulled his credit file at one of those rent to own electronic shops. Finds out he has superior credit and can't figure how since he had been locked up for so many years. It triggers him to further investigate where or who has been using his identity and why. Its a wild goose chase trying to track this guy down and eventually it leads to the actual killer and on top of that the person a serial killer and rapist who is actually his cousin and a cop. Not sure if thats enough info to go on but hopefully someone can help me out. I really enjoyed the book and would like to read again and possibly look for other titles by the same author.
