This was a book published in probably the 70s or 80's, about the time of Cancer Ward by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn,so it didn't have that name, although that would have been appropriate.
The last poem, which I would love to find, was about an orchestra, and it referred to the violins as "horsehair on cats' guts".
I believe most of the poems were about cancer. I also remember that one of the gruff, but helpful and kind, nurses was referred to as "flat-bottomed."
