So, when I was very young I came across a series about a family that was cursed in some manner. A mansion could very well have been involved. Many of the members of the family died, almost as a rule. This went on through generations. I believe the time setting in the later books is early 1900s.
I have a strong feeling that there was something to do with Rose in the title and that the series would have come out between the 80s or 90s.
I know there isn't a great deal to work with here, but anything would be helpful!
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions on what this could be.

Flowers in the Attic/Petals on the Wind
This might be pretty out-of-left-field but the Dollanganger family is pretty messed up - one could even argue they're cursed.

I read and knit and dance. Compulsively feel yarn. Consume books. Darn tights. Drink too much caffiene. All that good stuff.
