I read a book about a young boy, I think he was an Indian. I remember a family hiding underneath the floor of their house while people were in their house searching for them. On the night of a fireworks event, the family disappeared into another world through some door or window to the other world. They were never found. It started my love of books. Can you help? I have tried soooo many search engines for books, and have never found it.
