the book is about this single young mom who has a 4,5,6 year old boy (cant remember the age really but i know he was around that age) and the mom comes back to her home town to make amends with her family. and to let her son meet his grandmother and father that he has never met before. one of her sisters really hates her cause before she left town her sister thought that she had had an affair with her boyfriend or fiancé but she really didn't and so the guy she was seeing then kicked her out of the house even though she tried to tell him that she swears she never did really cheat on him so she left pregnant with his child that he didn't know about it. so got a job at a bar and is not managing it I think and she is really good friends with the guy who works at the bar who is much older then her and the bar guy starts to date her little sons grandmother . and she does open up a bakery shop I think.
