Humor in The Reluctant Fundamentalist

I think the most hysterically funny thing in the book is the interview in which Jim tells Changez that his $2.3 billion valuation of a company that provides futuristic instantaneous travel like the transporters in Star Trek is "exactly the kind of hyped-up bullsh** our clients pay Underwood Samson to see through.""Would you be willing to step into a machine, be dematerialized, and then recomposed thousands of miles away?"

Oh, man, that is cynical! I searched the Internet for a $2.3 billion corporation and all I could find was Deyer's (not Breyer's) Ice Cream, maker of Dibs, the bite-size ice cream morsels!

The other funny thing is when he gets strip-searched at customs while wearing boxer shorts with a pink teddy bear pattern!

I thought that the boxer shorts was a funny image as well..although the profiling was most likely humiliating for Changez and you have to feel bad about that. I thought that the futuristic instantaneous travel valuation was funny too.
