Please welcome BOB MAYER to B&N's MONTH OF ROMANTIC SUSPENSE!

Bob graduated from West Point and served in the military as a Special Forces A-Team leader and a teacher at the JFK Special Warfare Center & School. His latest book is Who Dares Wins: The Green Beret Way to Conquer Fear & Succeed. He teaches novel writing and improving the author via his Warrior-Writer program. He lives on an island off Seattle. Hi Bob, and welcome to B&N's MONTH OF ROMANTIC SUSPENSE!
I mentioned the books you wrote under the pen name Robert Doherty, but I seem to recall that you've written under other pen names, too. Tell us about those books, too, if you don't mind, and why you made the decision to write under multiple pen names.
We have both readers and writers here, so go ahead and plug your workshops, too. I'm hoping to attend your Ohio Valley workshop in June, but it falls on the same day as my son's girlfriend's college graduation, so I have a feeling I might have to miss it. Rats! So go ahead, make me feel bad. Tell me what I'll be missing!

Bob has run into the dreaded sign-in glitch - our tech dept. is on it, and hopefully Bob will be able to join us shortly. Bob -- I'm so sorry you've had to deal with this frustration!

Don't give up Bob. I am a big fan of yours and Jenny's collaborated books and it looks like I have some catching up to do and read some of your other works.

Hi there, Bob. I looked at your schedule of events on your website but didn't see a listing that you'll be at RWA National in Nashville this year. Do you have a class/workshop scheduled? (Really hoping the answer is 'yes'!)

Bob- I'm looking forward to another Crusie/Mayer since I've nearly worn out my copy of Agnes. I'll ask you the same thing I asked Jenny -- demons? Was that just to get to those of us that aren't freaked out by clowns?
And for those of you that haven't had a class with Bob, you really should consider it. The work may kick your butt, but it's incredibly helpful.

Brenda - Thanks for mentioning Bob's schedule. He's all over the place this year!
Debbie - I know what we'll both be doing the day Wild Ride comes out -- nothing but reading!
Stephanie - Oh, clowns. You had to bring them up, didn't you?

I should be teaching something at National this year-- hopefully an introduction to Warrior Writer.

Finally got in. Well, I'm republishing my backlist in the next six months along with some original works. The face of publishing is changing rapidly and I'm trying to keep pace with it.

Oh, thank goodness - the glitch is fixed.
Welcome, Bob - sorry about the difficulties. Drives me nuts when authors can't get in.

I just love it when I ask a man for something I desperately want, and he says yes. I haven't been to Nationals in the last two years, so this definitely made my day (and it's only 10:30 in the morning!)

Brenda - I had a blast at National last year and fully intended to go this year. Then my niece got engaged over the holidays and picked a wedding date the week of Nationals, in a different state. Unless she decides to reschedule her wedding (highly unlikely!), it looks as if I'll have to miss it this year.
Bob, will you be at RT?

Demons-- well we wanted to do something different. Interesting thing is we never leave the park in the book. Everything takes place inside of it.
We had considered doing the book set in a resort in the Bahamas-- for research purposes. Instead, ended up going to a theme park outside of Pittsburgh.
