Re: COZY AUTHORS - INTRODUCE YOURSELVES HERE!

Many of you already know about my two mystery series, since I was a recent guest, but I won't pass up the chance to talk about them again! My newest, the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Adventures series starring whitewater river ranger Mandy Tanner started off with a big splash in March with:

Deadly Currents

Book two, Wicked Eddies, will be released in May, 2012.

For my other series, the Claire Hanover gift basket designer series, Midnight Ink is re-releasing the first two books in trade paperback and ebook, starting in November with:

A Real Basket Case

[ Edited ]

Hi Dorothy,

Thank you for joining us again.  Just picked up Flowerbed of State and Julie Hyzy’s State of the Onion (White House Chef Series), so I’ll be enjoying the White House inside and out.  Thank you for writing what sounds like a fun series.

I write the White House Gardener Mystery series. Book 1 (Flowerbed of State) came out last month. The next book in the series (The Scarlet Pepper) comes out May 2012.

Casey Calhoun, White House assistant gardener, has a knack for digging up plots that have nothing to do with flowers and everything to do with murder.

Flowerbed of State

I also have a short mystery available on Nook.

Birds in Paradise

Young prostitutes are disappearing from the streets of Honolulu. When street-savvy P.I., Kyra Grainger, is hired to find the latest missing girl, she straps on a pair of high heels, pulls on a skirt no wider than a headband, and delves into the back streets and shadowy world hidden behind the glitz of Hawaii. What she finds is a web of lies and deceptions that threatens to destroy the paradise she's grown to love.

Oh, oh!  Now you’ve done it Laura.  More books for my shopping list.  Both of your series sound great.  Love the cover of Swift Justice. LOL.  And Grandpa Atherton has me laughing already.  Thank you for joining us.

Swift Justice

                             Hi all!

Thanks to Becke and B&N for hosting this cozy forum.  I'm Laura DiSilverio and I write the Swift Investigations mystery series featuring two mismatched women sleuths, Charlie Swift and Gigi Goldman.  The first of those, Swift Justice came out last Oct and the second, Swift Edge, comes out this December.  If you like your mysteries with a lot of humor and action, these are for you!

And this August, I have a new series debuting:  the Mall Cop Mysteries featuring Emma-Joy "EJ" Ferris, a medically retired military cop who takes a "temporary" gig as a mall cop while she searches for a police department that will hire her despite her injured leg.  Reptiles "liberated" from the Herpetology Hut, and her Grandpa Atherton's antics (He's a retired CIA agent who likes to spy on the mall's customers and merchants) complicate EJ's hunt for a murderer who left a body in a boutique window.  Look for DIE BUYING this summer.

I look forward to chatting with everyone!

Cheers,

Laura DiSilverio

Re: COZY AUTHORS - INTRODUCE YOURSELVES HERE!

Welcome Avery, Lois, Joelle and Maria,

Thank you for joining us here for cozy month AND adding to my ever growing shopping list and TBR pile.  One great thing about so many fun series, at least for us readers, is there is always something new to read while we wait for the next book to come out.  Hope you enjoy your visit here.

Joelle, a camel and a roller rink?  Awesome!

I have a cozy series:  The Sedona O'Hala Mysteries.  The first is:

Executive Lunch    The print copy *should* be showing as available, but I can't find it.

The second is Executive Retention and the third is Executive Sick Days.

Sedona is given the opportunity of a lifetime: play an up-and-coming executive with all the trappings of wealth with someone else footing the bill. The catch: find out who is stealing company funds before the criminals find out that their program is being debugged.

Sedona runs into danger, the corporate glass ceiling, and an occasional chance at romance in her quest to figure out who is stealing money from Strandfrost. Unfortunately, Sedona is better at writing computer code than deciphering political vitriol, and if she doesn’t find a way to wade through the red tape and red herrings, she could lose both her job and her quarry!

Thanks Becke!!!

Debbie - Isn't that a fabulous chair? Of course, if it was on my deck, it would be covered in raccoons and all the neighborhood cats. My deck is like Animal Planet!

I have a feeling if I tried to read in a chair like that, out on a Caribbean beach with the sun baking and a nice sea breeze, I'd doze off before I'd read ten pages!

Hi,

I'm Mary Moody author of one book, coming out on July 5th, A killing in Antiques.  I feel very lucky getting published for telling a story about the hunt for treasure at Brimfield, a wonderful, real place where antiques fill a whole mile of tents every summer.
