Re: DEANNA RAYBOURN, Day 23, Month of Romantic Suspense

I keep thinking of LeStrade now, but I think that was Maigret. My brain is a sieve today.

Are you going to celebrate your new release with dinner out tonight, Deanna?

Oh, how I wish! My dear mother was a casualty to one of our recent snowstorms and has a broken leg, so I'm sticking close to home tonight, but I promise to open a nice bottle of wine.

Oh, I'm so sorry for your mother. I was envisioning a fancy dinner party . . .

Or just a simple celebration with a few close friends:

Ha, those are wonderful, Becke! I do actually have a luxurious week in Vegas planned with my darling husband once all of my traveling is done for The Dead Travel Fast. I shall be suitably hedonistic then, I promise!

Re: DEANNA RAYBOURN, Day 23, Month of Romantic Suspense

Oh, that sounds fun. I used to go to Vegas a lot when my husband's company's annual meetings were there. I don't gamble, but I spend a fortune on the shows. Last time we were there we saw Cirque du Soleil's LOVE, which was wonderful!!

I hope you have a great time there!

Can you tell us what you're working on now, or is it too early to say?

Re: DEANNA RAYBOURN, Day 23, Month of Romantic Suspense

Last week I finished up the line edits for Dark Road to Darjeeling, the fourth Lady Julia Grey book, and I am just beginning to ponder Julia Grey #5! I have a few delicious ideas that I cannot wait to sink my teeth into...

I know it's early days, but can you give us a hint - maybe the setting? -- for book 5?

London! It seems like a good time to head back to the gaslit, foggy streets.

Aaah, London. Let's see - Silent in the Mews, maybe? I lived there for seven years but haven't been back in ages. I'm overdue for a visit!

Deanna, you are welcome to visit here as long as you like, but I wanted to be sure to give you some information before you sign off for the night.

This is "your" thread, and I hope you will come back and post updates/announcements here whenever you have a new release, a guest blog, a special interview, a new book trailer, a B&N book signing or any other news you'd like to share. You are always welcome here!

Keep an eye on the view count for this thread (you can see it on the main "Mystery" page). It will continue to go up and up over the months. If you search your name here, you can easily find this thread. Posting a comment will move it to the front of the board. Your thread will remain "above the fold" for the rest of February, too.

I'm really looking forward to reading you maybe-he's-a-vampire new release, as well as books 4, 5 and so on in the Silent series.

Thank you so much for joining us -- your books have given so many of us pleasure, I hope you've enjoyed your day with us, too!

I ate lunch, then took a nap, [yawn] and I wake up to see Becke is fixing dinner! (that's a first!) I wish her husband would cough up a little change to modernize that kitchen....

Where did the day go?

Deanna... I love that you'll be back on the streets of foggy London town. Sleuthing around under the dim lights...eerie noises...I think Julia needs a large (lovable) round-eyed black cat, to pounce on Nick when the two of them are snuggled-up between the sheets!  I can just hear Nicholas yelling....That damn cat!

I also like the romantic settings of the cliffs....and then the next thing you know, you're perched over the edge of one!  The old sheer cliff-hangers always make the palms of my hands sweat!

Sorry, just thinking out-loud.... I know whatever pops into your head, is going to be creative and wonderful!

Enjoy your tour, and your vacation....I'll be reading your latest, in the meantime.  I Hope to see you back here again, to talk about your next new one!  Keep them coming!

Best,

Kathy
