Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: Double Feature: Please Welcome Author JEFFREY SMALL!

Jeff - I have to say, your bio is jaw-droppingly impressive. How do you ever find time to write?

No matter how busy you are, there is always time to do the things that you love! My research for my novels takes me all over the world and allows me to have so many new experiences. Having said that, it took me 6 years to complete my first book! I guess I keep my days full.

Sorry the computer glitches, or as we call them here, gnomes, are at it again.:catfrustrated:

Anyway, Jeffrey, that was well put.

Now I am wondering if you actually climbed to the heights as shown in that one photo. Have to admit as a flatlander, I am pretty much afraid of heights, so you would never get me to one of those places(at least not while conscious, and I weigh enough that I doubt I am in much danger of being carried up to one of those places, ha ha). I will enjoy reading vicariously, yes that's the word VICARIOUSLY, as one who has, again, no interest whatsoever in personally experiencing THAT kind of mountain-top trek. The Rocky Mountain range of Colorado is high enough for me.

What's the setting for your next book?

Jeffrey - I love to hear authors' "call" stories. Would you tell us how you got word that your first story had sold?
