Re: First Look, Mimosa Village & Randomness

Hi to all,

Grey over my house this morning.

Sorry I haven't been by lately but kitchen project is well under way. It's going smoothly too. Still lots to do, but I wanted to say hi.

I managed to watch the first half of the Super Bowl, but not the second. I missed all the action it seems!

I enjoyed the animated cocoa cola bears, but didn't see too many of the other commercials.

Well back to the kitchen project. have a great day!

Jim

Wow, I didn't realize you went to the Super Bowl. Did you have good seats? And is it better to see it live than on TV?

Valentines Day was one of my father's favorites. He always brought home candy for all his girls. He was big on candy, but didn't like cut flowers. He loved growing flowers, but never cared for the cut ones.

I'm not much into V day myself. My hips really don't need the candy, and, other than memories of my father giving out those heart shaped candy boxes, the day holds no real sentiment for me. I know it's a manufactured holiday, but I suppose it does relieve the winter doldrums.

The only thing I really like about Valentine's Day is the dinner out. I don't have to cook and we usually go out for Lunch/dinner around 1PM.

My husband and I have a 3-card tradition (one funny, one romantic, one that just speaks to us) and maybe we'll go out to eat. Nothing fancy, though.

Re: First Look, Mimosa Village & Randomness

becke_davis, That sounds like a really nice tradition.

I hope that everyone is having a great time at our Valentine's Day celebration. Don't worry the celebration continues today and into tomorrow, with a dinner/dance on Valentine's Day night.

The B & B is having lunch and dinner for those who can stop by. Valentines are available for everyone as well as crackers.

So come and enjoy the celebration.

Re: First Look, Mimosa Village & Randomness

We had a little snow Sunday and Monday, and we're getting more today. It's feeling like winter now!

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! I even found one with a raccoon on it!

Re: First Look, Mimosa Village & Randomness

Hi to all,

Sunny and above average temps over my house this morning,

Sorry I have been away, but the kitchen project is shaping up well. I just need to paint and then I can get out of the way of the professionals and let them do their thing.

I hope that everyone had a great Valentine's Day. Those pictures of Valentine's cards made me think back to when I was younger. I was asking someone the other day (Valentine) if she remembered those candy hearts with the cute sayings printed on them. "You're cute" or "Qt Pie". They always were a lot of fun, probably due to the fact they were pure sugar!

Anyway I hope that everyone has a great day! Now I'm off to the home supply store.
